Vatsalaa Jha graduated from UW-Madison in 2014, where she studied Art: Graphic Design and Photography and Honors in the Liberal Arts. She has obtained multiple certificates in Art Direction, Entrepreneurship, UX Design and Product Management. She is originally from India. She immigrated to the United States in 2001 with her family.

She is an Entrepreneur, Artist, Idea-Builder, Community-Developer, and Project-Initiator. She is passionate about making connections between people, ideas, thoughts, feelings, places, and things. She has previously worked as a Vista Marketing Associate at Jugaad Leadership Program, where she supported the promotion of Jugaad’s program and the administration of its projects. Apart from her work as a VISTA Leader at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, she also works an Artist at VJArt LLC. Vatsalaa has founded several community art programs in collaboration with other local artists and nonprofit organizations. She hopes to continue to be a part of places and spaces where everyone is allowed to make an impact for the greater good.
