Minnesota Paid Leave Employer Engagement Webinar
October 27 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm CDT
Virtual Event – Live/Online
Fee: Free
RSVP for this event on Zoom.
Starting Jan. 1, 2026, Minnesota Paid Leave will provide payments and job protections to Minnesotans when they need time off for some of life’s most important moments – like welcoming a child, recovering from a serious illness, or caring for a loved one. As an employer, you play an important role in helping your employees learn about and access the program.
Minnesota Paid Leave staff are partnering with local chambers of commerce for a series of virtual and in-person engagement sessions for employers. At these sessions, we will provide an overview of the program, share recent updates, answer your questions, and help you prepare to meet your responsibilities under Paid Leave.

Facilitators
Linda Miller (she/her) is the public engagement manager for Minnesota’s Paid Leave, a division of the state’s Department of Employment and Economic Development. Before joining DEED, Linda founded and directed the Equitable Media and Economies Project, a national effort to build a more just economy and caring democracy by investing in media that prioritize the information needs of Black, Indigenous, People of Color and other traditionally marginalized communities. Prior to that, she spent 15+ years as a print journalist and a decade leading diversity, equity, and community engagement initiatives in public media.
Greg Norfleet is the Director of the Minnesota Paid Leave division. He comes to the role with nearly a decade of experience in state government with a focus on delivering on high priority initiatives for state leaders. Critically, he led the implementation for the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave program – which launched successfully in 2021. Since moving to Minnesota in late 2023, Greg has led the creation of a new division tasked with launching our own Paid Leave program this January.
