Jesse Chang is program director at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, where he provides vision and strategic leadership for MCN’s statewide educational programming, including workshops, conferences, and networking opportunities for nonprofit professionals. He brings deep experience in adult learning design, program strategy, and collaborative leadership, with a strong commitment to equity, accessibility, and strengthening nonprofit capacity across Minnesota.

Jesse began his nonprofit career at MCN, where he managed the council’s former VISTA Program focused on building organizational capacity for culturally specific nonprofits. He later directed multi-state AmeriCorps programs at Literacy Minnesota centered on literacy and digital equity. An AmeriCorps alum and the child of first-generation immigrants, Jesse is motivated by the power of education, service, and community-driven solutions to advance equity and opportunity.

Originally from central New York, Jesse holds a B.A. in geography from Colgate University. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and biking, sharing good food with family and friends, and finding creative ways to enjoy Minnesota’s beautiful yet brutally cold winters.
