The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, Head of the Lakes United Way and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits have joined together to bring the Northland a unique opportunity to learn more about nonprofit board member service. Register to be part of this exciting training program and develop your board service skill set.
This training will take place in two sessions in-person.

We will host this in-person training at the Hermantown YMCA Community Room.

Whether you are thinking about board service, are currently serving, or are a seasoned board member looking for a refresher – this program is for you. While we will focus on board basics, it is information that few people get when they sign on to start serving on a nonprofit board. You will also meet leaders from area nonprofits to hear more about their work and learn more about what they are looking for in potential board members.
Participants must commit to attending both sessions upon registration. Participants will be in-person for both sessions.
Thank you to the Duluth YMCA for the generous donation of their space at The YMCA at The Essentia Wellness Center for our next Be on Board cohort. With this donation, we are offering the next round of Be on Board for a reduced rate of $90! We hope that this will make the classes accessible to even more members of our community. We also have available full scholarships for the cohort provided by the Duluth Superior Community Area Foundation that can be accessed by contacting Jaci at jchristiansen@hlunitedway.org

A limited number of Be On Board program scholarships are provided thanks to the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. These are meant to be needs-based scholarships granted to participants who could not otherwise be able to register.
