In this virtual event, you’ll hear from Minnesota Budget Project Director Nan Madden and other staff members, to learn more about Minnesota’s budget landscape that state policymakers will face when the 2026 Legislative Session starts next year, as well as how the federal tax law H.R. 1 is expected to impact Minnesotans and the state budget.

Speaker Information

Nan Madden has been the director of the Minnesota Budget Project since 1999. The Minnesota Budget Project is an initiative of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits that provides independent research, analysis, and advocacy on budget and tax issues, emphasizing their impact on low- and moderate-income persons and the organizations that serve them. Nan has authored numerous publications on fiscal issues as well as economic self-sufficiency. In 2006, Nan was named by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal as one of its Forty Under 40 honorees.
