MCN seeking nominations to serve on its 2024 board of directors

Do you have ideas for how the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) can better support our state’s nonprofits? Are you ready to make a difference Minnesota’s robust nonprofit sector?

The MCN Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for four (4) individuals from MCN nonprofit member organizations to represent their communities and serve on its board of directors. If helping MCN shape our direction, focus, and impact, we encourage you to nominate yourself or a colleague/peer for an open board position.

MCN strives to recruit board members who bring diverse perspectives, professional expertise, and lived experiences to ensure we live into our stated values, which were jointly created in 2023 with MCN staff and board. We encourage nonprofit leaders from organizations across Minnesota to apply, with special areas of focus for 2024 including those representing:

  • Nonprofits in Southeast or Northwest Minnesota
  • Direct affiliation to Tribal Nations
  • Rural nonprofits
  • Expertise with HR practices
  • Nonprofits with budgets under $2M and/or don’t see themselves within/as mainstream organizations
