Multigenerational Competency in the Workplace

January 28, 2026 @ 1:00 pm 3:00 pm CST

Virtual Workshop – Live/Online
Fee: $50 for MCN members / $70 for nonmembers

There are currently 4-5 distinct generations in the workforce. This fact can bring value to teams based on diverse ways of thinking and processing – and it can create challenges. This session is designed to ‘normalize’ some of these challenges, explore some of the differences, and provide guidance to leaders as to how to focus on the advantages of the differences between generations. The ability to reframe the negative into more positive will support leaders in helping their teams be more effective.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to clearly understand the various generations that are currently in the workforce, highlighting some of the key factors that have influenced each generation.
  • Attendees will explore some typical stereotypes and review how to notice them and work to dispel them when they are not helpful.
  • Attendees will review information about differences in workforce dynamics and how to focus on the leadership qualities that are beneficial to all staff members
