MCN values broad participation at our events and attempts to create an inclusive environment for all attendees. MCN works to ensure a smooth registration process and event experience for participants. If you have questions about your registration, please check to see if you can find an answer here. If you still have questions, please contact MCN’s Customer Service Team.

MCN is dedicated to providing exceptional informational and educational programs. If you feel an MCN event you attended did not deliver on the promised objectives, please contact us.

By registering for this event, participants understand and agree that statements made by presenters do not constitute advice from or by MCN, and further agree not to hold MCN liable for the statements of presenters who are not employees of MCN.

While COVID-19 remains with us despite the formal end to the national health emergency, we have reached a period in the pandemic where we possess more tools and resources than ever before to better protect ourselves and our communities. MCN is no longer requiring masking at events; however, as we gather we recognize that our members, friends, and colleagues are coming from different personal circumstances. Therefore, we ask all event attendees to help us create a supportive environment for anyone wearing a mask, and we encourage all to feel free to wear a mask if needed to protect the health of the community, themselves, or the health of loved ones. MCN is also lifting its proof of vaccination/negative COVID-19 test requirement; however, if you feel ill or have a known recent exposure to the COVID-19 virus, please stay home.

MCN does reserve the right to adapt to the changing circumstances of the virus and mandate masks or other safety protocols for in person events should community spread increase or new variants present themselves.

To ensure enough seats and materials for participants, advance registration for all MCN events and trainings is required. For events with registration fees, MCN requires payment upon registration. Registering for an event (including registration via acceptance of a scholarship) constitutes an agreement to pay the registration fee, whether or not the registrant attends the event. No refunds or credits will be granted for non-attendance.

Virtual Events
Advance registration closes at 8 a.m. central the morning of the start of the workshop and 24 hours in advance for virtual conferences.

Registration for paid, virtual events is for individual registrants only, not multiple users. Access information to virtual events is prohibited from being shared. Additionally, as event materials are subject to intellectual property rights, all session materials distributed by MCN are only sent to registrants who have paid to attend the event, and are not permitted to be shared.

In Person Events
Advance registration closes at noon the day before the event and four days in advance for conferences.

While MCN events generally have limited onsite registration available, space is not guaranteed without advance registration. If an event reaches maximum capacity, registration will be closed early and noted on the website. There are no wait lists for events.

A credit or debit card is required to register online. Card payments over $2,000 will incur a 3 percent processing charge. If you need to pay with a check, please register using theĀ event registration form. Checks, payable to Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, are accepted by mail (c/o Registrar) and onsite.

Refunds are available on a limited basis; requests must meet all three of the following criteria:

  • The event must have a registration fee greater than $51.
  • Requests must be made in writing to MCN’s Customer Service Team.
  • Requests must be received one week in advance for events, and two weeks in advance for conferences.

A $35 cancellation fee will be deduced from the refund.

If you cannot attend, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. Please contact MCN’s Customer Service Team via email and let us know who will attend in your place. Please include the name of the original attendee in the email, and the name and email address of the substitute attendee. If the substitution request is made after noon the day before the event, or less that four days in advance for a conference, substitutions will be made onsite. Splitting a registration between two or more people is prohibited.

You may transfer your registration to another event. Requests must be made in writing to MCN’s Customer Service Team at least one week in advance. You may transfer to an event of equal or lesser value; if you transfer to a more expensive event you will be charged the difference in price.

Credits are available on a limited basis for emergencies; requests must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A death in the registrant’s family.
  • A sudden hospitalization of the registrant or an immediate family member.
  • A severe illness requiring immediate medical attention.

Credits are valued at the price paid for the original registration. Event credits must be used within 90 days from issue.

Requests for a credit due to schedule changes or conflicts, inconveniences, or common colds are not accepted and no refunds will be issued. Requests must be made in writing to MCN’s Customer Service Team before the event start time.

MCN strives to ensure that our events are accessible to all individuals. If you require live captioning, ASL interpretation, or another accessibility service, please email info@minnesotanonprofits.org.

Virtual Zoom trainings, including paid workshops and conference breakout sessions, are automatically captioned.

All in-person MCN conferences and events held at MCN’s office will have space reserved for nursing, prayer, and an all gender restroom available.

If you have questions or would like to confirm your request has been received, please contact MCN’s Customer Service Team via email at least two weeks prior to the event, or three weeks for conferences and large events. Although we will attempt to meet all accessibility requests, late requests may not be fulfilled.

All MCN locations-St. Paul and regional offices-follow the local public school districts’ inclement weather decisions. If the public school in the district of the event closes, MCN will cancel the event and issue a refund. An event will be canceled no later than three hours before start time and registrants will be notified by email.

MCN reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances which would make the event unfeasible. Registrants will be offered a full refund.

Events may also be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified via email of the postponement. Registrations will be automatically transferred to the new date, and refunds will be granted if requested within one week of the postponement notification.

By registering for an event, you agree to be photographed or otherwise recorded for MCN’s promotional purposes.

MCN seeks to create an inclusive environment for individuals to participate in our educational events, committee meetings, and public gatherings. As such, MCN seeks to increase access to our events by taking into consideration the dates, venues, and menus of our events.
