Wilder Research helps communities thrive by turning information into impact. Through research and evaluation services, we help organizations throughout Minnesota and the country measure and improve your effectiveness, identify needs and solutions, and make data-informed decisions that improve lives.
As an independent research unit of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, we work with nonprofits, foundations, and government entities to inform decisions and improve lives. Services Provided
Research and Planning: Consultation and technical assistance, ROI and economic impact studies, social indicator analysis and benchmarking, trend studies and opinion surveys.
Program Evaluation: Program evaluation design, data collection and analysis of results, including program, process, outcome and developmental evaluations, and logic models.
Data collection: Focus groups, interviews, and surveys, and observations and assessments using culturally competent approaches. Multi-lingual interviews are available in English, Hmong, Karen, Somali, and Spanish.
Community Assessments: Help identifying problems and service gaps, strengths and resources of a specific cultural group, age group or geographic community to build understanding, and guide planning and action for effective solutions.
Evaluation Capacity Building and Training: Workshops, training, consultation and coaching to help you increase your capacity to design and carry out evaluation, and collect and interpret the information you need.
Communicating Results: Key findings, analysis, and recommendations delivered in plain language with graphics and visualized data that make it easy for your audiences to understand. Options include visual reports, summaries, infographics, issue briefs, media releases and events.
Using Data: Consulting, training, and facilitated activities to help you and your organization make data-informed decisions. Learn data best practices and innovative strategies to better understand and use data (including program evaluation, applied research data, and secondary data for program improvement) when making important decisions about programs, staffing, organizational structure, strategic planning, and policies.
