Pay What You Can Rates (PWYC)

We encourage you to pay the registration rate that is meaningful to and possible for you and/or your organization. While earned revenue from our events is a significant portion of our operating budget, supporting the policy and advocacy work we do on behalf of nonprofits, we aim to keep our fees accessible, often below market rate, and offer further reduced entry points for those who need them to participate in professional development.

PWYC Rates:

  • $69 (Code: PWYC69)
  • $89 (Code: PWYC89)
  • $109 (Code: PWYC109)

You will not be asked to complete an application to prove need. PWYC rates are the scholarship model for this year’s Conference. The rates are for individuals and do not apply to small- and large-group registrations. PWYC rates are available through May 1, 2024.

Small Team Rate – Register 3, Get 1 Free

Send more people from your organization and get more out of the conference. Register three people from the same organization at once and the fourth registration is free! To register online, one person will login to their MCN account and you will add colleagues to your group – your fourth colleague will be free! Visit our Events and Registration FAQ page (choose “How do I register multiple people?” from the FAQ options) for instructions on how to complete online group registrations.

Offer valid only with full-rate registrations. PWYC rates not eligible. Please email our help desk with any questions or issues during registration.

Small-team registration is closed.

Large Team Rate

Do you have more than four people from your organization to send to the conference? Register a group of up to ten people from the same organization at the following rates:

  • MCN Member Organization: $1,295
  • Nonmember Organization: $2,095

Large-team registration is closed.

COVID-19 Protocols

While COVID-19 remains with us despite the formal end to the national health emergency, we have reached a period in the pandemic where we possess more tools and resources than ever before to better protect ourselves and our communities.

MCN is no longer requiring masking at events; however, as we gather we recognize that our members, friends, and colleagues are coming from different personal circumstances. Therefore, we ask all event attendees to help us create a supportive environment for anyone wearing a mask, and we encourage all to feel free to wear a mask if needed to protect the health of the community, themselves, or the health of loved ones. MCN is also lifting its proof of vaccination/negative COVID-19 test requirement; however, if you feel ill or have a known recent exposure to the COVID-19 virus, please stay home.

MCN does reserve the right to adapt to the changing circumstances of the virus and mandate masks or other safety protocols for in person events should community spread increase or new variants present themselves.

Registration Policies and Accommodation Requests

Registrants who are unable to attend the conference may send a substitute to attend in their place; please submit the change via email to MCN’s registrar. Cancellations received by May 1, will receive a refund minus a $35 processing fee. No refunds are available after May 1. See our full Registration Policies.

Breakout Room Seating Policy

Conference registration guarantees access to a choice of breakout sessions at different times throughout the conference schedule. However, conference registration does not guarantee a seat in any of the individual breakout sessions. Breakout rooms are assigned in advance of the conference. The safety of conference attendees is always a primary concern, and may include closing a room if attendance exceeds the room capacity. We encourage early arrival to the breakout sessions to help ensure that a seat is available.

Accommodation Requests

MCN strives to ensure that this conference is accessible to all individuals. If you have accommodation requests, such as sign language interpreters or other accessibility requirements, please submit your request during the online registration process or via email at events@minnesotanonprofits.org. Although we will attempt to meet all accessibility requests, requests submitted after May 1 may not be fulfilled.

Traveling to the Conference

The conference will take place at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota, 200 SE Oak St, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Please arrive early to ensure you have plenty of time to check-in before sessions begin.

Please take advantage of the Metro Transit light rail which provides easy access at the East Bank Station.

If you are driving, please know that the nearest parking ramps may fill up in the early morning. Large surface lots are also available north of Mariucci Arena (i.e., Lot 37) and are only 3 blocks walk.
