Creating a Trauma-Informed Workplace
October 15 @ 10:00 am – October 17 @ 12:00 pm CST
Virtual Workshop – Live/Online
Fee: $135 for MCN members / $175 for nonmembers
We are not okay. Let’s stop pretending we are. If you’re a nonprofit professional, you’ve likely been operating at full tilt for far too long—juggling mission-driven urgency, tight budgets, and the emotional toll of serving others. The pressure is constant, the pace unsustainable, and the impact on our bodies, minds, and teams is real. You might be seeing it in staff burnout, emotional reactivity, or even your own shrinking capacity to lead with clarity and heart.
This workshop offers nonprofit professionals a practical introduction to trauma-informed principles and how they can be applied in everyday workplace settings. You’ll learn how trauma impacts communication, relationships, and culture—and gain tools to respond to even the most challenging behaviors with compassion, clarity, and confidence. Whether you’re leading a team or working alongside one, this session will help you create a more connected, resilient, and supportive work environment.
This is a six-hour virtual training spread over three two-hour sessions:
- October 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Central
- October 16, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Central
- October 17, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Central
Learning Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand what trauma is and how it impacts workplace behavior, communication, and team dynamics.
- Identify how trauma shows up in interpersonal relationships and organizational culture, including common patterns of disconnection, control, or conflict.
- Apply trauma-informed strategies to respond to challenging situations in ways that promote psychological safety, healthy communication, and trust.
